We are the sons of the old town of Naples, where sounds, languages and flavours from all over the world constantly meet! Lăutari, Rumenians, Africans, Cape Verdeans in the old and crowded market neighborhood of Montesanto, Sri Lankans in the old and tiny street of Cavone, Asians at the old city wall of Porta Capuana, Pakistanis in the Spanish Quarters tell teach us that our city has always been an open door a door open to diversity. In the same square (spostato alla fine), we witnessed (se si riferisce a un fatto passato va bene, altrimenti “We witness to”) tammorre, djembe, goblet drums, accordions, mandolins, bandoneons, European fanfares, and the celebrations for the Madonna dell’Arco coexisting in the same square coexist. It would have been silly not to listen to all this and not be influenced by it!
